Week 96 - Sitting in the Power

True Whispers

Pain is a great motivator.

It is 2026, and as my outside world stabilized,

my inside world became intolerable.

Six months ago, I embarked on

a therapy journey unraveling

decades of trauma in my life.

This EMDR journey, motivated by

panic attacks and depression,

started my therapy regime

back to preverbal days,

through formative years and into

adulthood.

Therapy has been a lifeline

Daily routines help me

find peace and allow me

space to process this

adventure towards solace.

I can hear her now, my inner voice,

that expresses loving support to me,

but her subtlety is a true whisper.

I name her my Soul.

It is so easy to ignore her against

the cacophony within. But if I ignore her,

my body pain increases.

So I am listening and discovering

better boundaries, and a newfound respect

for my wisdom within.

Because when I don’t listen,

the black holes return and I

abandon myself.

May they help define your personal boundaries

keep you present, and aware of your subtle voice within.

I am going to read this list as I would reciting them to myself.
