Pilgrimage to Ireland - Aran Islands Day 2

After a breakfast of irish yogurt with berries, warm scones, bagel with cream cheese and lox, we were off for another incredible day on the Aran Islands. We took a 3 mile tour. I found wearing a tam keeps my head warm and it doesn't blow off in the wind. And, I've become Irish. I speak with a lilt.

In the afternoon, we took another 3 mile walk.

In the evening, we had a fresh salmon dinner with lime cheesecake for dessert. And then we were entertained by a local Irish singer Treasa Ní Mhiolláin. She's in her 70s and her accompanist was a 16 year old boy who played jigs and reels on a music box. Treasa has twice won the coveted ’Corn Uí Riada’ award, the top prize for sean-nós singing at Oireachtas na Gaeilge. Traditional Irish music is an essential part of the Irish Cultural fabric
