Channeling

By Shirley Riga

The definition of channeling in the Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary is as follows:

“That by which something passes or is transmitted; Means of passing, conveying or transmitting.”

The generic definition for channeling can be cryptic if we approach it from an intellectual perspective, and it can be dark and foreboding if we approach it from a place of fear.

In its simplest form, spiritual channeling is a connection with Love, connection with the Higher Force, the Oneness within ourselves that is ourselves.

Channeling consciousness came into my awareness in 1989. As I have grown into this connection, I have learned it is truly a deeper connection with myself and with spirit.

As time passes, I frequently experience inner feelings and messages that remind me spirit was with me and within me long before, guiding me as I shuffled along my path. Oh, indeed I am still shuffling. I am just more awake.

And when I take the hand of spirit and I walk into my meditations or prayers, I don’t feel so alone. I am awake enough to know my guides, my angels are walking with me.

Learning to channel the Divine Love within me and around me, I have learned and am still learning to honor, truly honor myself. The work is an inside job. Transformation does have to start inwardly.

And as I sit and watch children in their innocence focusing upon a task, it reminds me of the clarity we came into this world with. It reminds me as I grow that I am simply learning to clear the clutter so I may tap into the wisdom that sits within me patiently waiting for my desires to move to that special place.

This is a time of change, and with that change comes illusions of heartbreak, disasters, traumas and dramatic happenings that demand our attention and focus. It is also a time of remembering who we are, for the comfort we all really desire is never satisfied from without. This time in our lives is directed inwardly for a purpose. The purpose is to find that special place, to feel safe within ourselves as the world moves around us, and a purpose to connect with the nurturing love that Divine Love has to offer. The gift is there and as we unwrap it, remember to ask for support.

You deserve it!
